e2v scientific instruments (formerly known as Gresham Scientific Instruments) is a manufacturing company specialising in the design, development and production of high resolution solid-state x-ray detectors and pulse processors for ion beam and x-ray induced materials analysis applications. e2v produces both Si(Li) detectors and Silicon Drift detectors.

About Us

Much of the market addressed by e2v scientific instruments' products is to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), where our position as an independent detector manufacturer (no system level products) means that we can optimise products for all customers without prejudice.

e2v scientific instruments also supplies new or replacement detectors to end users who have systems which include a high resolution x-ray detector, whilst retaining full cabability of operation with existing electronic systems.

One of e2v scientific instruments' key specialities is the supply of very high performance single and multi-element detectors to the x-ray research market.

Another key area of e2v scientific instruments' product portfolio is the repair and upgrade of detectors from all manufacturers, providing a unique service to maintain or improve the perfomance of existing detector systems whilst retaining full electronic compatibility.

e2v scientific instruments also distributes products for overseas companies in our home UK market. These products are all in the general fields of radiation detection and imaging, and are complimentary to our own manufactured products.
